Frequently Asked Questions
What age can students start piano lessons?
For students 5 through adult we offer private piano lessons. Preschoolers learn music and keyboard fundamentals in Mini Musicians and Piano Pals.
Do I need a piano at home?
Students make the best progress when they have regular access to a piano or keyboard for practice. We do offer practice labs where students can come to the studio to practice, as well as economical solutions to start piano without huge investments.
How often and where are lessons held?
Private lessons are held weekly at your reserved time-slot. We teach from our home studio at 875 E. Southgate Dr. Shelby, NC 28152
How much are students expected to practice?
Teachers set practice expectations in accordance to the student's age and family/life commitments. While the general rule of thumb is daily practice, we offer creative ways for the busiest student to still make progress.
How does scheduling work?
Families provide their general availability during enrollment, and we do our best to place students in lesson times that fit their schedule. Lesson times are assigned based on teacher availability and scheduling compatibility.
Do you offer lessons for adults?
Yes! We enjoy working with adult beginners as well as experienced pianists returning to music.
Do you offer a trial lesson?
Yes. A free trial lesson is the best way to meet your teacher and explore whether piano lessons are a good fit.
